Transilvania University of Brasov (UNITBV), founded in 1948, is a higher education institution located in Brasov, Romania, and, by means of its educational offer, scientific research and number of students, represents one of Romania's largest Universities, being the most representative University for Region 7 - Centre. The University includes 18 faculties with a total of about 20,000 de students and 800 teaching and research staff. In this project UNITBV is represented by the research team of the Department of Electronics and Computers (DEC), part of the Faculty of Electric Engineering and Computer Sciences. The DEC has been active in the last years on various national and EU research projects, as for example STARGATE-MIPS (financed by the Romanian Space Agency), InnEO’Space_PhD (H2020 SwafS CSA), various EU COST actions (CA IC1004, COST CA 15104 IRACON, CA 19121 Good Brother), acquiring extended competences on embedded system design, intelligent networks, image processing and communication networks and cybersecurity. The DEC includes several PhD Candidates focused on cybersecurity topics like: Cybersecurity for Renewable Energy solutions, Cybersecurity of Extedend/Virtual/Augmented Reality solutions, Automated Management of Cybersecurity Incidents.
